The MP40 submachine gun was produced by Erma and Steyr from 1940 to 1944. Over 1 million of the highly maneuverable and compact MP40 were produced during this time. Its equally well-known predecessors are the MP36 and MP38.
The .22 caliber self-loading rifle is made of steel and die-cast zinc and features a single-action trigger. It is approved for sport shooting.
